Adopt Me trading servers: where to trade and where not to

The in-game Trading Hub, the official Discord, community Discords and listing sites, ranked by how safe they are. Plus what a Trade License is and why "rich servers" are a scam funnel.

"Trading server" means three different things in Adopt Me and only one of them is inside the game. Here is each, what it is good for, and how likely it is to cost you a pet.

The in-game Trading Hub

Adopt Me has a Trading Hub, a space inside the game built for trading rather than raising pets. It is the one place where finding a partner and completing the trade happen in the same window, which is why it is the safest option on this page. To unlock it you need a Trade License, a first Neon pet, and a couple of hours of playtime.

The Trade License is a short quiz from Agent Jake in the Safety Hub. Three questions about recognizing scams, unlimited retries. With the license you can trade Ultra-Rare and Legendary pets, trade houses, see recent trade history and report trades. Without it you can only trade Commons, Uncommons and Rares, which is deliberate: new accounts cannot be talked out of a legendary before they have read three questions about how that happens.

The official Adopt Me Discord

Uplift Games runs an official Discord with trading channels. It is moderated, the offer format is enforced, and the mods actually remove scam posts. It is the best place to post an offer and get responses from real traders. Two things to remember: the server does not complete trades, you still meet in game and use the trade window, and Discord DMs from strangers offering to "help" are where the scam starts, not the channel.

Find the invite on Adopt Me's own site or in the game's social links. Do not take a Discord invite from a chat message, a YouTube comment or a random site, including this one. Invite links get faked constantly and a fake server looks identical to the real one.

Community trading Discords

There are hundreds. The big ones are fine for posting offers and finding partners, and some have middleman systems and reputation roles that work. The small ones range from harmless to built specifically to funnel players into trust trades. Signs of a good one:

  • Offers are posted in a fixed format and moderators remove ones that aren't.
  • Nobody with a "middleman" or "trusted trader" role DMs you first. Real roles do not need to advertise.
  • The rules explicitly ban cross trading and trust trading, and people get banned for it.
  • The server does not sell anything: no Robux, no pets for money, no "value checking service".

And the rule for all of them: the Discord finds the partner, the game does the trade. Anything that happens outside the in-game trade window is not a trade, it is a gift to whoever moves second.

Listing sites

Traderie and AdoptMeValues.gg let you post what you have and what you want, and browse other players' listings. They are useful for seeing what people actually ask for a pet, as opposed to what a value list estimates. The trade itself still happens in game, so the site's safety features (ratings, reputation) only tell you who to avoid, not protect you from them. Treat a stranger from a listing site exactly like a stranger from Discord.

"Rich servers" and private server links

A recurring search is "rich Adopt Me trading servers" or "rich servers link". The idea is a private server full of players with grails who trade generously. These do not exist. What exists is a link that leads to a private server run by the person who posted it, where the "rich traders" are their alt accounts and the trades are trust trades. Every value list and every trading community says the same thing about these because they have all watched it happen.

Public servers are where the pets are. A player with a Neon Frost Dragon is not hiding in a private server waiting to overpay you. They are in the Trading Hub, checking a value list like everyone else.

Before you trade anywhere

  1. Check both sides on the Adopt Me value list or the WFL calculator. Values, not rarity tags.
  2. Get the Trade License. It is three questions and it unlocks the safe way to trade.
  3. Read the final confirmation screen. The last-second swap only works on people who don't.
  4. Never go first, never cross trade, never accept a middleman. The trade window exists so you do not need any of those.
  5. If someone is in a hurry, you are the reason.

FAQ

Where is the best place to trade in Adopt Me?

The in-game Trading Hub, because finding a partner and completing the trade happen in the same place. Use the official Discord or a listing site to post offers, then trade in game.

Do I need a Trade License to trade?

Only for Ultra-Rare and Legendary pets, houses and trade history. Commons, Uncommons and Rares trade without it. The license is a three-question quiz in the Safety Hub with unlimited retries.

Are rich Adopt Me servers real?

No. Links advertised as rich or private trading servers lead to trust-trade setups run by the person who posted the link. The players with valuable pets are in the public Trading Hub.
